The PlayGarten is a family-oriented indoor playground equipment USA project located in Silverthorne, United States. The client’s primary objective was not to create a highly commercialised amusement venue, but a comfortable indoor space where families with young children could spend quality time together. Designed for children aged 3–8, the project emphasises a relaxed atmosphere, safe play, and easy supervision. A key requirement from the outset was to clearly separate dining and play activities, allowing parents to enjoy meals while children remain engaged nearby. The venue is positioned as a neighbourhood-style family destination, suitable for casual visits, weekend outings, and repeat local use.
Yommi Play approached the 220sqm space with a clear functional layout centred on family use rather than high-density operation. The overall plan is divided into two main areas: a dining area and a play area. Within the play area, zones are further organised into a naughty castle-style children’s zone, a dedicated toddler area, a turf basketball zone, and an arcade game section. This zoning logic keeps different play intensities separated, reduces cross-interference between age groups, and ensures smooth user flow throughout the venue. Open sightlines between zones and the dining area allow parents to supervise easily while seated, supporting a calm and well-managed operating environment.
Each piece of equipment was selected and customised to support both engagement and safety. The naughty castle children’s zone combines climbing, crawling, and soft obstacles, giving kids space to explore movement freely.
In the toddler area, low-height soft-play elements are carefully scaled for younger users, helping them develop balance and coordination in a controlled setting.
The basketball area introduces light physical activity, offering children a chance to practice shooting and movement on a soft, low-impact surface.
The arcade game zone adds interactive variety, encouraging short play cycles and shared participation between siblings or friends.
Since opening, The PlayGarten has operated smoothly as a combined dining and indoor playground venue, with families spending extended time on-site. The integration of food seating with clear views of the play area supports longer visits and higher customer satisfaction.
