In Dhaka, the vibrant, densely populated, and rapidly developing cosmopolitan capital of Bangladesh, every inch of urban space is incredibly precious. For families living here, finding a spacious indoor environment where children can safely unleash their nature and where siblings spanning a massive age gap (from 2 to 18 years old) can play together without friction is often a luxury. However, the Disney+ Kids indoor entertainment centre, located in the heart of Dhaka, has completely revolutionised the weekend lifestyle of local families with its massive footprint of 15,000 square feet (approx. 1,393 square meters).
As the space planners and equipment providers for this project, we decided to break away from the conventional perspective that merely focuses on "stacking equipment" or "calculating revenue per square foot." This time, we envisioned this expansive indoor playground as a custom-tailored "miniature dream city" for Dhaka families. Within this massive ecosystem, featuring over 200 interactive activities and more than 1,000 exquisite toys, the colour of every corner and the texture of every material were designed with profound empathy and warmth.
1. A Miniature Society: Building Cognitive Boundaries through Pretend Play
When you truly step into this space, what moves you first isn't the towering play structures, but the highly realistic "micro-world." For children in their golden age of cognitive development, imitating adult life is the most important way to build their worldview.

We built a vibrant "commercial street" right here. Look under the brightly colored "SUPERMARKET" arch: shelves are neatly stocked with a variety of realistic simulation vegetables and fruits. In the photo, two little boys are pushing yellow mini shopping carts, busily preparing "dinner" in front of the sink and a retro mint-green oven. This immersive pretend play area is equipped with a massive amount of detailed toys, which not only consumes children's focus but also invisibly cultivates their social collaboration skills and foundational logical thinking.
2. Ultimate Gentleness: A Sensory Haven for Infants and Toddlers
When handling a massive age span of 2 to 18, protecting the most vulnerable infant and toddler demographic is the absolute priority of the design. If a baby constantly faces the risk of being knocked over by older kids while playing, parents will constantly be on edge. Therefore, we carved out a dedicated toddler zone with absolute physical boundaries within the facility.

Just as the striking "Only for Baby" sign on the pillar conveys, this area is an absolute safety cabin for infants and toddlers. The entire space utilises an extremely soothing macaron colour palette (desaturated pinks, mint greens, and light blues) to prevent overstimulating the babies' vision. Gentle slides drop directly into a thick, soft ball pit, allowing even waddling toddlers to bravely take their steps of exploration here.

Beyond the ball pit, tactile development is also crucial for early childhood education. We specifically designed a semi-enclosed sand pit (typically using clean, hygienic cassia seeds or eco-friendly sand). Scattered inside are various dump trucks, water wheels, and shovels, where children can sit quietly to dig and pour. The delicate touch of the sand particles greatly soothes children's emotions, ensuring the entire play process is perfectly paced.

At the edge of the toddler zone, we also placed a "honeycomb" maze made entirely of soft-padded materials. This hexagonal structure is not only visually full of geometric beauty but also encourages younger children to crawl through it, helping them establish a preliminary sense of spatial direction.
3. Kinetic Energy Release: Gravity and Speed Experiences for Older Children
When the perspective shifts to children over 7, the play requirement changes from "quiet exploration" to "surging energy release." The 15,000 square feet of space gave us enough ceiling height and depth to install amusement facilities that require massive impact force.

The vibrant rainbow dry snow slide is undoubtedly one of the visual focal points in the venue. Children (and even playful parents) sit in professional inflatable doughnut tubes, speeding down the undulating tracks with excellent friction, experiencing the pure joy brought by gravity.

Adjacent to the slide is an interactive ball pit full of mechanical and physical charm. We suspended an exquisite pink propeller plane model above, while below are "aerodynamic cannons" that children can operate wildly. By loading balls into the tubes and pressing the launch button, the spheres fly everywhere, propelled by airflow. This interactive facility combining physical phenomena can instantly bring a group of unfamiliar kids together.

Of course, for the most energetic older children, the trampoline park is always irreplaceable. The large area of interconnected trampolines allows children to jump and tumble freely. This is not only the best place to consume physical energy but also their dynamic main stage to showcase athletic talent and build a peer social circle.
4. Cross-Generational Resonance: The Interactive Street Connecting Parents and Teens
A successful large-scale family entertainment centre must not only cater to children but also take care of the adults accompanying them on the sidelines, as well as the adolescents (15-18 years old) who feel traditional slides are "too childish." The uniqueness of Disney+ Kids lies in its perfect bridging of this generational experience gap through ingenious interactive installations and an arcade zone.

A massive yellow Pin Art Wall is set up inside the venue. This is an extremely stress-relieving and artistic installation. Whether it's a little boy pressing his body hard against the pins to leave his silhouette, or parents using their hands to press out goofy patterns on the back, this purely physical interaction requiring no electronic screens brings the most primal bursts of laughter.

Deep inside the venue, a neon amusement corridor seemingly straight out of the future streets of Tokyo impressively appears. Bright pink and vibrant yellow neon tubes outline highly modern lines. Adorable animal-shaped arcade cabinets (like pink bears and yellow minions) are neatly lined up. This Arcade Zone, specially designed for both children and parents, completely breaks the boundaries of age. Here, teenagers can enjoy the thrill of racing and basketball shootouts, while parents can relive their childhood arcade days. When a family sits side by side cheering in front of an arcade machine, this space has surpassed being just a simple playground and has become a factory for creating precious family memories.
Conclusion
The Disney+ Kids project in Dhaka is a comprehensive practice of scale, colour, psychology, and love. On this grand canvas of 15,000 square feet, we didn't just install top-tier hardware; we wove a sanctuary where families of all ages can let go of reality's exhaustion and return to pure, innocent joy. From an infant's first grasp to a teenager's arcade showdown, every age group can find their exclusive, respected, and satisfying experience here.
This is exactly the ultimate meaning Yommi Play insists upon when designing every indoor playground. If you also hope to build a complex entertainment landmark in your city that can awaken the vitality of local families, possess profound community value, and bring lasting commercial returns, we look forward to hearing from you. Let's join hands to embark on the next dream-building journey.
